Anything but The Ordinary – an abnormal beauty company.

What makes a good skincare product can to some extent come down to personal opinion, however, there are some key criteria that everything from common sense to the recommendations of an experienced dermatologist will agree on:

A good skincare product is derived from the ingredients that form the basis of it, which should be high performing.

Another criterion is how the product feels and how effectively it is absorbed into the skin. Then again what makes a product efficient could be the ingredients that are missing, such as parabens and other unwanted content.

Ideally, in addition to the aforementioned criteria, we appreciate skincare products that are affordable and cruelty free. As we tend to dwell in warmer climates, bonus points are awarded if the products are not greasy but geared at hydrating on a deeper level so they become one with the skin quickly.

A brand that has perfectioned the calibration and pairing of well-formulated antioxidant, skin-repairing agents with a blend of safe, cleansing and effective ingredients is The Ordinary.

Offering an ever evolving collection of treatments comprised of familiar, effective clinical technologies positioned to raise pricing and communication integrity in skincare, The Ordinary has positioned itself firmly on the firmament of brands that disallow commodity to be disguised as ingenuity.

In a crowded market where most affordable skincare options lack the efficacy of what luxury serums and moisturizers have to offer, The Ordinary pursues a clinical, science-based yet no frills approach to skin care and specializes in single-ingredient-driven products that deliver targeted results at a low price point.

While other skincare brands focus the etymology of their product names on the results, the way The Ordinary names its products is informed by references to the exact ingredients, which on one hand can be a tad confusing but doing a bit of research, it helps to identify what exact ingredient you should add to your routine, with each product being centred by a hero agent to either help with either acne, anti-aging, dry skin, or oily skin.

As multi-layered skin protection gains popularity, mixology in skincare can be a rewarding practice, which makes it crucial to understand which ingredients make for effective combinations, and the ones that do not go well together.

The Ordinary has its focus set on everything in your skincare routine complementing one another for achieving the best results with minimum side effects.
